OK, I'm gonna assume you know how to rebuild a carb, there are a million books out there to tell you how to do it if you don't. This is here just to tell you what to do with your rebuilding knowledge. Also, I'm gonna assume you know that the idles screws should be about the same number of turns out, and how to adjust your floats. It really doesn't matter if it is a carburetor, FI, or whatever, my way to tune for street/strip is such: |

Ever have one of those days? One of those days when everything seems to go wrong? You woke up late, lost the car keys, you're late for work and if that isn't enough your stang starts to piss coolant all over the place. Well it probably could have been prevented. Basic maintenance of the cooling system in your "Stang" will not only prevent your Mustang from leaking antifreeze all over the place but it will also prevent a blown head gasket, and other major engine damage. Many people get their oil changed often, but how many remember to change their antifreeze/coolant? |

If you haven't already read how to do it a million times in all of the Mustang magazines then this is your chance. Here's how to check and adjust your TPS voltage. You may be asking, "What is a TPS"? Simply put its a Throttle Position Sensor. The TPS is a sensor that tells the ECM (computer) how much gas you are giving it, which in turn lets the computer decide how much fuel and spark to give you. |

Tranny fluid... How often do you even think of changing your automatic fluid? Probably not that often, not until it starts to slip, but then its too late. To many people changing the tranny fluid and filter seems a little bit of out of reach for them to do....whether it seems too hard to do, or if its just the fact they don't know how to do it. In reality its pretty easy to do, although it might get a little messy, it shouldn't be hard at all. |

Changing your oil is one of the best things you can do for your car. You can't change it too often. There's no easier way to keep that 302 running good than changing its oil. |
