During Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Ford will present the Mustang "Boss 302", inspired version to ' homonymous predecessor of 1969 and equipped with the 5.0 V8 from 445 hp and 515 Nm of torque. "'Boss' is a term consecrated," gloated in Ford. "We could not use it for any car." And in fact the "Boss 302" stands for technical equipment from race-ready car: reinforced clutch, shortened gear ratios, adjustable suspension and a braking system with discs increased to compensate for greater heat of the V8 (also enhanced). Suffice it to say that the Blue Oval engineers have chosen as their target audience the BMW M3 . Maybe, but the new Mustang is revealed on average more than 2 seconds faster on track than the version " GT ".

Also quite substantial changes in the interior, enhanced by the addition of Recaro seats, steering wheel covered in Alcantara and burnished metal inserts. The Ford Mustang Boss 302 will be available in the colors Competition Orange, Performance White, Kona Blue Metallic, Yellow Blaze Tri-Coat Metallic Red and Race, plus the most sports "Laguna Seca" recognizable by the car body black / red and package aesthetic accented with appendices.

    Base engine was the 250 ci six-cylinder on all models except the Mach 1 which came with the 210 hp 302 and the Boss 351 which got a 330 hp version of the 351.
