Steve just ran his first pass in this Stang with an 11.33@117mph. Not bad considering that he ran that eleven with a screwed up carb and no tuning at all. With the new carb he installed it should easily be good for a 10 second run. List of Mods:

What can I say? Dan's GT does it all, and more. He drives it to and from work a few days and even drives it to the track on the weekends. Best of all, it has run a best of 10.87@123 MPH. In the summer of 98 Dan split the stock block and grenaded the stock AOD tranny. He rebuilt the motor and had the tranny fixed by a local shop, but ever since the car hasn't been the same. So its going back to the place who built it the first time. After that, and with a bigger supercharger Dan expects his red rocket to go even quicker. Low tens, maybe even high nines. |

For 1971, Ford completed its fourth Mustang redesign, creating a bigger car. It had the basic Mustang look, with a longer wheelbase, stretched length, more width, wider front and rear track and heavier curb weight. A raked windshield, bulging front fenders and aerodynamic enhancements were evident. |

Ford Mustangs grew to their all-time largest for the 1971 model year. Wheelbase was up an inch to 109, length increased 2.1 inches to 189.5 and width grew 2.4 to 74.1. The latter was accompanied by a tread increase to allow the 429 cid big-blocks to fit with ease. |
